Other is amount of accumulated skills through life and understanding what comes with it..

I want to tell You My story
Last two years went on studying, training, improving every aspect of my being.
Mental, physical and spiritual.
During that time Iβve absorbed many books, one of them was Atomic Habits by James Clear.
β Tiny changes, remarkable results ββ
While traveling through pages I ran into fragment about making change easier.. sticking to Your decision.. it made me smile.
Let me take You on a journey across time, we shall visit my past.
I left my hometown in my twenties,
Traveled and lived in many cities - got few harsh lessons from life.
All of them - I deserved.
Even when I had nothing, and I thought I am nothing, even thinking Iβll never amount to anything of value to anyone β how wrong I was β Something kept me going forward..
When I didnβt have where to go..
When I failed expectations of parents, peers, society..
As son, collegue, man..
Still even in despair.. I was not fully lost in darkness.
I had nothing - food here and there - no place to go - no coin - no one cared what will happen to me..
Iβve hid myself away from My kin..
One element, one constant was physical struggle.
Some say you cannot think yourself out of problem but You can move yourself out of it and then after You overcome it - it changes how You think.

There is something to that
Every day was result of my choices
My lack of want to change
Everyday I was sharpening my physique by running and building strength in cold wasteland beyond city edges.
Every day, hour and second β I had flashbacks of all this thoughts β bad thoughts β
What people said about me, how they treated me how Iβve chosen to care more bout outside than my well being.
As same time, I kept telling myself something different from it..
β You are strong.. You are a warrior.. this is why You do not give up.. β - affirmations
They do not work without.. well work.
You felt all of this because of Your choices, at same time because You could see, feel, almost touch it with fingertips β You could see gimps into future β what a sight !
You in Your full glory
After Youβve unlocked Your full potential.. only and only after Youβve crossed and worked through..
β oceans of time β
Years later, when I provided value to people as trainer, Iβve meet wonderful woman.
Her profession was coroner for bloody murder cases.
She was very kind, genuine, honest person that was very grounded in reality because of what she faced every day.
That was reason why I didnβt expected those words from her
β Can I see Your hand ? β - she asked
I put my hand forward, she looked at it for a moment and said
β What Youβve done in previous life - pause - in this one Youβll have to pay for it, You will have to work very hard for everything..β
I didnβt grasp full meaning behind her words in that moment
β Tell me something I didnβt know before.. - I smiled β
We continued with training, speaking about parts of life that really matter.
I didnβt pay much attention to what she said, I took it lightly.
Before I meet her I was homeless for 2-3 months, got a job, slept in attic of gym and began to get up from my knees.

The reason why I was able to rise from ashes I condemned myself into was exactly what James mentions in Atomic Habits.
If You want change to occur, make a decision then, create a habit by thinking who You want to become - what is result of this small daily habits that You repeat.
Think about Your full potential - or - who You want to become.
Ask yourself :
β Who I want to be ? β
β What does it look to reach my fully realised potential ? β
- You see vague outline of person from future -
β What does future - grown - successful - me - does on daily basis ? β
- Then You travel back to present day -
I see.. so this is how I become.. better.. Me
While I was strong by doing thousands upon thousands of move patterns..
Fighting in many martial arts for more than decade.. I knew..
I knew person that I saw β me β was superior in all aspects.
What was surprising, it didnβt gave me sadness.. it gave me hope..
Chance
I - running on pure instinct - told myself I was strong and worked on physique far beyond need of normal people.
There is work that need to be done - there is no one to blame but myself - and - while doing that I didnβt humiliate myself, I didnβt thought of myself with disdain.
I knew I made a mistake and I stood with it.
So also in My hands lies power to change every part of who I am.
When I participated in daily struggle I knew Iβll not reach for vices.. no poison.. no sedation..

Brace Yourself
You know why ?
You are not weak, You have this, You need to do work..
Everyday
No matter if its drought or downpour, harvest or barren times.
If You want to create habit and stick to it, what You need to do is to connect it to Your identity.
Next, You do habit that will bring You closer to reaching Your full potential.
When You will be visited by demons and vices, ask Yourself one simple question :
β Do future Me endulge in this practices ? β
β Do stronger, wiser, more responsible for Our fate - Me - would do that ? β
If answer is no - do not do it.
Within time, this muscle will get a lot stronger, and saying no to everything that makes You weaker, will come easier.
I understand You might not want go on a journey to leave system behind.
But..
If You will walk through life sleepwalking - the choice will be taken away from You.
If You decide to stay within - be cog of societys machine - repleceable - easy to enslave and bend to will of β others β - You may never understand what freedom means - and ββ they ββ do not have Your best interest in mind.
What reaching full potential means
Giving best version on You to people while doing what You love to do.
Listen to my words
If You will not choose Your sacrifice - fate - path
Your life will be sacrificed by someone making choice for You.
What is certain - that latter one - will not be aligned with Your core being.
Regret is one nasty burden..
I will leave choice on Your side, meanwhile should You use method mentioned above it will improve domains of Your life.
I was using this method instinctively and years after, saw it in James book.
I can attest to effectiveness of it.

It will bring happiness to You when I say that after that muscle is build, used and trained You may connect new habits to it - in consequence to Your identity.
What it means is, every habit after initial one that You build will be easier to build and practiced - every day.
This is why many people who attain success tell You to stack small wins through the day.
Make Your bed, brush teeth, do few hundred pushups, read a book for 10 mins β
Those seemingly insignificant actions - are important in Your psyche to build small successful habits that bigger one will be connected to later - reinforcing whole chain called β character β discipline.
Success is not luck based β Its result of consecutive habits β every day β 365.
